As of Oct 2023, the Indian government has used nearly 70% of the fertiliser subsidy budget, spending a total of INR 1,22,976 Crore. Out of this amount, about INR 79,660 Crore has been utilized for urea subsidies, which is almost 61% of the urea subsidy budget. INR 43315 Crore has been utilized for P&K subsidies, accounting for around 98% of the total P&K fertiliser subsidy budget.
