Department of Fertilisers, Ministry of Fertilisers, India notified guidelines for evaluation of reasonable MRP of P&K Fertilisers under Nutrient Based Subsidy policy, on 18th Jan 2024.
Main features of guidelines:
- Guidelines are effective from 1st April 2023.
- GST will be excluded.
- Differential profit percentage will be 8% for importers, 10% for manufacturers and 12% for integrated manufacturers.
- MRP will be cost of sale which includes production cost, administrative cost, selling & distribution cost, net interest and finance cost.
- Deduction for dealers’ margin will be allowed 2% of MRP for DAP and MOP and 4% of MRP for other grades of fertilisers under NBS (TSP, MAP, SSP, NPKs & PDM).
