As of Sept 2023, the Indian government has used nearly 64% of the fertiliser subsidy budget, spending a total of INR 1,12,699 Crore. Out of this amount, about INR 70,498 Crore has been utilized for urea subsidies, which is almost 54% of the urea subsidy budget. INR 42201 Crore has been utilized for P&K subsidies, accounting for around 96% of the total P&K fertiliser subsidy budget.
