NPK Production during April-August increased by 9%; however, Urea and DAP Production were reduced by 4% and 11% over last year corresponding Period (Apr-August).
Imports of DAP, MOP and NPK were decreased by 30% , 65% and 25% respectively over last year corresponding Period (Apr-August), however Urea imports increased by just 1%.
Sale of Urea, DAP MOP and NPK were dipped by 9%, 29%, 31% and 1.5% over last year corresponding Period (Apr-August).
PAN India urea sales deficit by 9% (1.2 million tons). Maximum hit is in east zone which is deficit by 22% (o.4 million tons), followed by west zone by 12% (0.5 million tons).
PAN India DAP sales deficit by 29% (1.5 million tons). Maximum hit is in north zone which is deficit by 40% (o.6 million tons), followed by west & east zone by 30% (0.6 & 0.2 million tons) and South zone by 9% (0.1 million tons) .
PAN India MOP sales deficit by 31% (0.4 million tons). Maximum hit is in east zone which is deficit by 45% (0.1 million tons), followed by north & south zone by 33% (0.1 million tons) & 31% (0.2 million tons) and west zone by 20% (0.1 million tons).
PAN India NPK sales dipped by just 2% (0.1 million ton). East & South zone sales climbed by 3% (0.02 & 0.08 million tons). However deficit is reported in north zone by 13% (0.03 million tons), west zone by 8% (0.14 million tons).

India fertilizer subsidy expenditure till August’21 is INR 40178 Crores which is 48% of total subsidy budget, excluding additional subsidy budget of INR 14475 Crores for P & K fertilizers.
Government of India has fully paid fertilizer subsidy up to August’21.
India’s Urea Projects Progress till August’21
HURL Gorakhpur urea project have achieved more than 93% progress and expected to commission in November’21 as per report. HURL Barauni and Sindri projects achieved more than 90% progress and expected to commissioned in FY; 2021-22. Ramagundam Fertilisers and Matix Fertilisers And Chemicals Limited have recently started their commercial production.

Black Sea Urea Price for August’ 21 is US $ 446.88 per ton which is just 1.22% more than July’ 21 prices of US (Black Sea) $ 441.5 per ton, however it is 179% more than last year during same month (August’ 2020 – US $ 249.5 per ton).
US DAP Monthly Spot Price (Gulf)
US DAP Spot Price (Gulf) for August’ 21 is US $ 603.13 per ton which is dipped by 1.61% than July’ 21 prices of US $ 613 per ton and 176% more than last year during same month (August’ 20 – US $ 341.88 per ton).
Morocco Rock Phosphate Monthly Spot Price
Morocco Rock Phosphate Price for August’ 21 is US $ 136.88 per ton, which is up by 9.5% than July’ 21 prices, however 178% more than last year during same month (August’ 2020 – US $ 76.88 per ton).
Henry Hub Natural Gas Monthly Spot Price
Henry Hub Natural Gas Price for August’ 21 is US $ 4.33 per MMBTu which is 7.71% more than July’ 21 prices of US $ 4.02.75 per MMBTu and 188% more than last year during same month (August’ 20 – US $ 2.3 per MMBTu).
Kharif crop sowing deficit by 16.5 lakhs ha (1.56%) over last year, as on 20th August in India.
