In a proactive move aimed at fostering transparency and flexibility in its energy pricing framework, India has announced the eagerly awaited revised domestic natural gas prices for the period from 1st December to 31st December. With meticulous attention to detail, the pricing is set at an enticing US$ 8.47 per million British thermal units (mmbtu) on a Gross Calorific Value (GCV) basis.
Notably, the set price of US$ 8.47/mmbtu represents a significant 7.12% decrease from the November 2023 pricing. This reduction provides stakeholders with a comprehensive perspective on the fluctuations within the domestic natural gas market, offering valuable insights for informed decision-making.
